new thriller idea

After reviewing our idea we came to the conclusion that our thriller wouldn't work. This is because we wouldn't be able to achieve a realistic party environment with our resourced. We also felt that after revealing the dead body in the opening sequence, the audience may be uninterested in watching the rest of the film.

We started to mind map our ideas right from the start of the process with our original 4 ideas. Themes that commonly came up were; hostages, cars, two men, possibly a father/son relationship.

We developed our idea, creating many mind-maps and eventually came to a final idea. Our thriller would be about a adult male taking hostage of a teenage boy and killing him in a deserted forrest, for an unknown reason which you may or may not find out later on in the film. We also wanted a scene in a car as we felt it would be a great environment for building tension.
